A bedside table is an essential piece in every adult's bedroom, but what about for little ones? These handy pieces are hardworking and can anchor the bed visually in the room, wherever the bed is placed. Also called nightstands, a bedside table is the ideal spot for a night light to help young kids sleep, or a table lamp for older children to read by.

Choose a piece with drawers so that favourite books and puzzles can be stored out of sight or allow it to double as an additional clothing storage space for underwear and socks. Our bedside tables are built to last and have backboards that are weighted internally to prevent tipping. Made from a light timber, round lines create a softer look which is just the right finish for both kids and teens’ rooms.

Children only need one bedside pedestal, especially for a single bed. If the bed is pushed up against the wall, the table can fit neatly on the inside of the room which creates a cosy sleeping nook. Should the bed be positioned in the middle of the back wall facing out, put the table on the side of the bed which is your child’s dominant side – left or right. You can balance out the effect with a handy storage basket on the other side to create symmetry.
